Neurodiversity-affirming parenting support focuses on understanding a child’s unique brain rather than trying to “fix” them. The goal is to build skills, reduce stress, and strengthen the parent-child relationship using respectful, evidence-based strategies.
-
Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form or schedule a call—we’ll walk you through the next steps and answer any questions along the way.

Common areas include emotional regulation, meltdowns, transitions, anxiety, rigidity, sleep issues, toileting concerns, and parent stress or burnout.
While all parenting support is individualized, I also provide specific evidence-based treatment programs:
RUBI (Research Unit on Behavioral Intervention) Parent Training for Disruptive Behavior is a supportive, parent-centered program designed to help families of children with Autism, ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental conditions. This evidence-based program provides parents with practical tools to create a warm, structured, and predictable home environment. The goal is to encourage positive behaviors while reducing challenging ones such as tantrums, aggression, elopement, or property destruction. RUBI empowers parents to improve their child’s independence, emotional regulation, and overall well-being—while also improving family quality of life.
Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE) is a unique, parent-based program designed to help children struggling with anxiety and OCD. Instead of working directly with the child, SPACE supports parents in making meaningful changes in how they respond to their child’s anxiety. Parents learn how to respond with empathy and support while also gradually reducing the accommodations they’ve been making for their child’s anxious behaviors. SPACE can be especially helpful for families of children with Autism who also experience anxiety or OCD.
Project ImPACT is a hands-on program that teaches parents how to support their young child’s development during everyday activities and routines. It focuses on building key skills such as social engagement, communication, imitation, and play. This program is ideal for families of children with Autism, Speech Delay, Global Developmental Delay, or other developmental concerns. Parents leave with practical strategies they can use daily to strengthen their child’s communication as well as the parent-child connection.

A typical parenting support session is collaborative, practical, and tailored to your family’s real life. We start by gaining a deeper understanding of what’s happening in your daily routines, what feels most challenging, and what is already working.
Sessions focus on both insight and action. You will receive real-life, practical strategies that you can begin using right away at home. This may include troubleshooting specific situations (like morning routines, homework time, transitions, or meltdowns) and adjusting strategies as we go.
Parenting support is offered through live coaching, either in-person at the Houston, TX office or virtually while you’re at home, so strategies are directly connected to your actual environment. The goal is to build confidence, reduce stress, and help you feel more supported and effective in your day-to-day parenting.
-
Yes. Parenting support and coaching are available in-person in Houston, TX and virtually for families in Houston TX and across Texas, California, and PSYPACT states. This allows for flexible scheduling and real-world application.
-
No. Your child does not need a formal diagnosis to benefit from parenting support. Sessions focus on understanding your child’s unique strengths and challenges and giving you practical strategies to use at home.
Parenting support is helpful for families navigating challenging behaviors, emotional regulation, daily routines, or social and attention-related differences—whether or not a diagnosis has been made.
-
I focus on parent training and coaching rather than one-on-one therapy with children because the most lasting and meaningful change happens when parents are empowered with strategies they can use every day.
By working directly with parents and caregivers, we can:
Address challenges in the context of your family’s daily routines
Teach practical strategies that generalize across settings
Support consistent and predictable responses to behavior
Reduce stress and increase confidence for the whole family
This approach allows parents to be the primary agents of change, which research shows is the most effective way to support children with ADHD, autism, or challenging behaviors.

Initial Appointment
We will begin with a free 15-minute phone consultation to see if one of the Parenting Support Programs is the right fit for your family. This is a chance for us to briefly connect, discuss your concerns, and determine next steps—no commitment required.
If we decide to move forward, you'll complete some online intake and rating forms to help me better understand your child’s strengths, challenges, and overall developmental history. I’ll also review any previous assessments or reports you are able to share. Next, you and your child will attend a Diagnostic Intake Appointment, which includes:
A parent interview
A child interview and/or play-based observation
This session helps me gain a full picture of your child’s needs and your goals as a family. From there, I’ll develop a personalized treatment plan tailored to your child and designed to support meaningful growth at home and beyond.
Session length: 60-90 minutes (virtual or in-person)
Investment: $350

Follow-Up Sessions
Parents are actively involved in every session, regardless of which treatment program you choose. Each program has a different level of child involvement:
SPACE: Children do not attend sessions. This program is entirely focused on supporting parents in helping their child manage anxiety or OCD.
RUBI: Children attend some sessions, which will be planned and discussed with you ahead of time.
Project ImPACT: Children are required to attend every session, as the strategies are practiced together in real time.
The total number of sessions varies depending on the program and your family's unique needs. Most families work with me for 8 to 16 sessions, depending on the goals and progress we make together.
My ultimate goal is to work myself out of a job—which means helping your family gain the tools and build the confidence to continue thriving on your own. Treatment ends when your goals are met and you feel empowered using your new skills in everyday life.
Session length: 50-55 minutes (virtual or in-person)
Investment: $250 per session
